• brilliant campsite but has a few nicks

  I stayed at higher well campsite the week before easter weekend, campsite was very quite. Wasn't impressed wth the way they were keen to get you out at 10am. Also would have been nice if we could have chosen our pitch too, we had rabbit holes all over our site and it would have been nice if we could have moved. this was the only pitch with this problem! But the caretaker was fantastic asked the next day if we were warm and if everything was ok, he lent us an extension cable and a heater. Very nice man, 5 star. Showers were tepid then freezing so not a good shower experience had to turn another shower just to make your shower warm. But they have baby and family rooms which is big bonus also they are heated. Toilets, wash rooms and dishwashing are all very clean and receive 5 stars. On the whole make sure your pitch is flat and hole free and call to make sure the showers run properly. Forgot to mention their are fantastic washing and drying facitlites here too, reasonable prices too.
