Great Butchers!

I love this place – I buy my meat from here on a weekly basis and would never go back to supermarket meat again. The taste and texture of ‘real’ meat, butchered only down the road makes a real difference to the Sunday roasts. Personally I think this place is the best butchers IN Totnes. It is just up from the Plains on Fore street and is a great traditional butchers, with organic and locally sourced meat available plus free range chickens, their own recipe sausages and yummy dry cured bacon.They also make their own pork scratching which are always helpfully in the window so even when not shopping for meat I sometimes have to dive in and pick up a bag full as they are my secret addiction!The shop itself is not the biggest but the meat is the highest of quality. The guys who work in there are really friendly and helpful and when I have needed advice or just a good recipe tip, they have been really great. I cannot recommend this place high enough.
