    This place is fabulous. It is a Grade 2 listed building with a gorgeous garden. The bar drinks are no more expensive than anywhere else and the bar snack type meals are large and filling. They also do the most delicious main meals as befits a place listed in the Michelin guides for good food. We visited here after being to the Apple Pie Fair at marldon and it was packed out, but the service was still good and efficient and the food hot and freshly cooked. They also have rooms for private functions which are very popular. Marldon itself is a gorgeous English country village and worth a visit in itself, not just to visit this amazing pub.
